3-day global conference on ‘Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine’ begins at NIT, RKL

Rourkela: With an aim to ensure a common platform to more
than hundred delegates including scientist, industrialist and young talents of
the country and abroad to discuss, share and disseminate the latest development
and advancement in the field of Tissue Engineering and regenerate medicine, a
three day international conference on ‘Tissue Engineering and Regenerative
Medicine’ organized by Centre of Excellence in Tissue Engineering of Department
of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering of the National Institute of
Technology (NIT), Rourkela began today.
 

Dr Gautam Bannerjee, director of IGFL Bioceramics Ltd inaugurated
the conference at Pranakrushna Parija Auditorium of the institute. 
Prof Sunil Kumar Sarangi, director, NIT Rourkela presided
over the inaugural event. The three-day conference will deliberate on the theme
such as biomaterials and scaffold engineering, stem cell engineering, therapy,
genetic manipulation and IPR in tissue engineering, technology development ,
biomechanics, Cyro-tissue engineering, In Vitro Tissue engineered cancer model,
computational tissue engineering and on ethical issues, said R K Sinha,
Secretary, public relation of the institute in a press release.
