Xavier University opens PhD programme

Bhubaneswar: The
Xavier University, Bhubaenswar on Monday officially inaugurated its Ph.D
programme.  The event was formally
started by Professor. Sandip Anand, who welcomed all the esteemed dignitaries
and invited them to perform the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Among the notable guests were the Higher Education, Science
and Technology Minister Dr Pradeep Panigrahy, Employment and Technical
Education & Training Department Secretary Dr Chandra Sekhar Kumar, XUB vice
chancellor Father Paul Fernandes and Registrar Father Tony Uvary.
Higehr Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahy congratulated
Xavier University for the newly found Ph.D programme under which 27 students
have been admitted for the current academic session. He also, stressed upon the
fact that XUB has not only brought great opportunities for the state of Odisha
but, also opened doors for better education, research and consulting for the
entire nation. He emphasised on his belief in the cause of education and the
need for commitment for making the best use of this opportunity.
Speaking on the ocassion, Employment and Technical Education
& Training Secretary Kumar spoke about the undying spirit of the Government
and their vision to improve the quality of education and provide ample
employment opportunities to the youth of Odisha.
