Global Odia conclave calls for Odia resurgence

Bhubaneswar, December 28: At a time when the entire globe
marches towards unified cultural entity and inclusive growth, Odias across the world
should come forward to champion the cause of a global village while retaining
the cultural identity unique to this age old race, said Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik at the valedictory ceremony of the Global Odias’ Conclave organised by
‘Aseema Odisha’- the apex body of Odia organizations worldwide, here.
The CM harped upon the great Odia Diaspora and reinforced the
need of community endeavor throughout world to protect Odia’s integrated stand
on a progressive state.
Addressing the nonresident Odias (NROs) representing various
parts of the world and our nation, former Odisha Judge Justice Bimal Prasad Das
Member Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal called for redefining the Odia identity
by introspection on our tremendous potential.
Aseema Odisha Chief Coordinator and Convenor of Global Odias’
Conclave Kshirod Kumar Jena deliberated upon the growth of this federation
named as Odisha without Borders and said that this has evolved as a magnificent
endeavor to unite Odias staying at major cities of India and abroad.
Aseema Odisha chief mentor Nihar Ranjan Samantara and president
of the global conclave Suryaprakash Mohapatra depicted on the eventful journey
of this transnational forum staging Odia’s excellence.
The conclave was inaugurated in the morning in presence of
eminent dignitaries like Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, Industries,
School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishr and Lok Sabha member Baijayant
Panda and former Supreme Court judge Justice Arjit Pasayat.
Two Panel discussions on pertinent themes like ‘Entrepreneurship
Development’ and ‘Evolving of Brand Odisha’ were held to mark the conclave.

Eminent panelists included global petrochemical expert Padma
Shri RN Bastia, Lead Economist of World Bank Dr Dillip Rath, Director Finance
of NTPC Mr Kulamani Biswal, Former ADG of BSF Mr PK Mishra, Media Icon Jaggi
Mangat Panda, Rameshram Mishra, former Additional Chief Secretary to Govt of
Tamilnadu and Brand Expert Harish Bijoor.
