CUO hostels shifted to permanent campus

Girls’ Hostel
Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: The Central University of Orissa (CUO),
Koraput has shifted its girls’ and boys’ hostels to its permanent campus at Sunabeda.

Furniture including beds, cots, mattresses, tables and chairs
have been provided to the students and all amenities have been provided at the
hostel. Each hostel has total 236 rooms, one dining room one drawing room and
two beautiful lawns spread over 7,735 sqmtr plinth area.
Boys’ Hostel
As many as 162 girl students were shifted to the newly built girls’
hostel at the university permanent campus on September 3.
Similarly, 227 male students were also shifted to the own
hostel in July this year. Both the hostels were constructed by CPWD.
“By shifting the students to the own hostel, a substantial
amount will be saved by the university. This amount will be spent for
developmental proposes,” said university vice-chancellor Prof Sachidanandda Mohanty.
