CM announces cash prize for 11 Hausala-2017 medal winners

Bhubaneswar, November 23, 2017: Chief Minister
Naveen Patnain on Thursday announced cash prize for the amazing child talents
who won medals in sports at Hausala-2017.

“I am delighted to announce cash prize of Rs 50,000
for gold medal winners, Rs 30,000 for silver and Rs 20,000 for bronze medal
winners,” said Patnaik after meeting with the 11 medal winners at the State
Secretariat.
The CM congratulated the 11 medal winners at
‘Hausala-2017’ National festival for child inmates of Child Care Institutions
(CCIs).
“The young boys and girls have made entire Odisha
proud by their outstanding victories in different athletic events. They are an
inspiration for all children,” said Patnaik.
Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera and Women and Child Development Minister Prafulla Samal was present. 
Hausla 2017, a festival to celebrate children
living in Child Care Institutions ended with a closing ceremony of colourful
cultural performances by the children themselves in New Delhi on Monday. Nearly
700 children from CCIs across the country including Delhi participated in the seven-day
programme.
Various events were organized during the sports and
athletics meet included 100 meter race, 100×4 meter relay race, long jump, high
jump, chess and football matches for both and girls categories.
Winners in different categories were conferred
gold, silver and bronze medals by the Union Minister of State for Women and Child
Development Dr Virendra Kumar.
