Mohali gets India’s first inclusive Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra

Mohali, July 28, 2018: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday inaugurated India’s first inclusive Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) in Mohali.

This first of its kind PMKK will impart skill training to everybody including skill aspirants with disabilities.

“This PMKK will fullfil market driven skill requirements and create an inclusive skilling ecosystem. As per Prime Minister’s vision we wish to setup a PMKK skill training center in every district to address local skill needs and provide employability to our aspirational youth,” said Pradhan.

In the near future we are also propagating options to link PMKK with entrepreneurship promoting schemes like Mudra Yojana, Stand-Up India and Start-Up India to facilitate these trained individuals start their own businesses and become employers who may support many other employees, added the Union Minister.

He also interacted with divyang children at the PMKK center. One of the divyang girls painted a portrait of her. While some of the young ones showed fabulous dance moves.

“Divyangjans may lack in some ability or two but surely God supplements them with other skills,” said Pradhan.
