Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday launched Ujjwala Sanitary Napkin Manufacturing units at 400 common service centres (CSCs) across the State here.
The initiative is being undertaken by various central public sector undertakings like IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, NTPC and NALCO in the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan said that Ujjwla Sanitary Napkin Manufacturing Units at 400 CSCs under the CSR initiative of CPSUs will provide employment opportunity to women and girls besides empowering and improving their access to hygienic products.
The Union Minister asserted that more manufacturing units will be set up at CSC centers in every block.
