MEMU trains to run on three more routes from Saturday

Bhubaneswar: The railways has decided to run MEMU trains by replacing earlier conventional coaches of Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar-Berhampur-Bhubaneswar and Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Passenger Trains from fourth week of April.

On introduction of new MEMU trains, the services of the Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar-Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar and Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar Passenger trains will be discontinued and run with new numbers.

According to East Coast Railway (ECoR), Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar (68408/68407) MEMU will run from Bhubaneswar April 20 and from Bhadrak on April 21 while Bhubaneswar-Berahampur-Bhubaneswar (68411/68412) MEMU will run from Bhubaneswar from April 21 from both the directions and Bhubaneswar-Palasa-Bhubaneswar (68419/68420) MEMU will ply from Bhubaneswar on April 21 and from Palasa from April 22, 2019 will replace the earlier conventional coaches.

The proposed MEMU trains will run as per the timings of previous conventional trains.

However, the conventional trains will provide journey facilities when the MEMU coaches will go for maintenance.
