Railways to run summer special between Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar from June 1

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways on Friday said that a bi-weekly summer special train would be run between Secunderabad and Bhubaneswar from June 1 to 30 to handle the extra rush of passengers during the season.

The proposed Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar (02784) bi-weekly Summer Special will leave Secunderabad on every Saturday and Wednesdays at 12.30 pm between June 1 and 29 and would reach at Bhubaneswar at 9.30 am the next days.

In the return direction, Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad (02783) bi-weekly Summer Special Train would leave Bhubaneswar on every Sunday and Thursday at 6 pm between June 2 and June 30 and will reach at Secunderabad at 2 pm on the following days.

This train would has two AC-2 Tier, Six AC-3 Tier, 10 Sleeper Class and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Kazipet, Khammam, Rayanapadu, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Duvvada, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Brahmapur and Khurda Road between Secunderabad and Bhubaneswar from both the directions.

This apart, a Special Train will leave from Mangalore at 3 pm on May 26 (Sunday) towards Dhanbad via Vizianagaram-Rayagada-Sambalpur-Rourkela and will reach at Dhanbad at 11.30 am on May 28.

Another Special Train will leave from Krishnarajpuram (Bangalore) at 2 pm on May 26 (Sunday) towards Bhagalpur via Vizianagaram-Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak and will reach at Bhagalpur at 10.30 am on May 28.

Now, as many 17 pairs of Summer Special Trains are running from and through East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction towards different destinations in the country. It has created additional berths.

The ECoR is also monitoring the passenger profile on day to day basis, said an ECoR communique.
