CM directs Ministers to submit performance report on 7th of every month

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed his Council of Ministers to submit a progress report on 7th day of every month on implementation status of manifesto promises made by his party BJD during the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

During the first Council of Ministers’ meeting on May 29 the CM had emphasized ‘Time’ as an addition to 3Ts – teamwork, transparency and technology – of governance and urged all to work in coordination for best and timely results.

According to a CMO communiqué, Council of Ministers will meet on May 29, 2020 to mark the first year in Government and review progress on delivery of manifesto promises.

Government will focus on poverty alleviation, making women equal partners in progress, uplifting the weaker sections and fulfilling dreams of the youth, it said.

Notably, Chief Minister Patnaik was sworn in a as the CM of Odisha for a record fifth consecutive term. The BJD, which won 112 seats in the 147-member Assembly has been in power in Odisha since 2000.

Notably, the Council of Ministers approved in principle the BJD manifesto as the Government’s priority on May 29, the day Patnaik took oath as CM.
