Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday approved appointment of new heads for various State-owned corporations and development authorities, including the State Commission for Women.
This is the first lot of political appointments to State-run organisations after Patnaik ca,e to power for fifth consecutive terms.
The Chief Minister also appointed Minati Behera as Chairperson of State Commission for Women (SCW).
Ramachandra Panda was appointed as Odisha State Agriculture Marketing Board Advisor, Debasis Mohanty, Iswar Panigrahi, Pravaditya Mishra, Anup Sai, Asit Patnaik, Amarendra Das and Lulu Amat were appointed as Chairpersons of Odisha Agro Industries Corporation Chairperson, Odisha Seeds Corporation, APICOL, Odish Warehousing Corporation, Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation, Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation and Odisha Rural Housing Corporations, respectively.
Similarly, Chinmay Sahoo (Chairperson of OSIC), Srimayee Mishra (OTDC Chairperson), Amaresh Patri (Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation Chairperson), Satyabrat Tripathy (Odisha Film Development Corporation Chairperson) and Bijay Nayak (Odisha State Youth Welfare Board chief).
While Priyadarshi Mishra was named as Chairperson of Odisha State Housing Board, Subash Singh retained the post of Chairperson of the Odisha Building and Other Construction Worker’s Board, Sudhir Das as Adviser of BSKY and Dilip Tirkey as the Chairperson of Odisha Hockey Promotion Council.
Manas Madkami was named as Chairperson of Special Development Council Malkangiri while Binay Toppo was named as Sundergarh SDC chief. Susmita Bagchi was appointed as Mo School while Akash Das Nayak was named as Chairperson of Mo College.
While Lenin Mohanty continued as as Editor, Utkal prasanga and Odisha Review, Sujeet Kumar was named as Advisor, Special Development Councils, Anubhav Patnaik, Advisor, ET & IT Department and Krutibas Patra Advisor, Agriculture Department.
Utkal Keshari Parida was appointed as Advisor, Chilika Development Authority, Debasis Ghosh (Advisor, Odisha Forest Development Corporation), Sulata Deo, (Adviser, Women and Child Development Department) and Janmejay Lenka, (Adviser, Odia language literature and Culture Department).
Kasturi Mohapatra was appointed as Chairperson of Social Welfare Board, Sulochana Das, Chairperson, State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Lopamudra Buxipatra, Advisor, Mission Shakti and Pushpendra Singh Deo, Member, Western Odisha Development Council (WODC).
