Koraput: The Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput will join the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) Consortium for admission to various Under-Graduate (UG), Post-Graduate (PG) and Research programmes this year.
CUCET is a national level examination which is regulated by eleven Central universities jointly. It is a combined entrance test organised for providing admission into various UG, PG, MPhil and PhD programmes offered by the Central universities across India.
This year the CUO will invite applications for 30 programmes. These include two-year PG Programmes – Master of Arts (MA) in Odia, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Sociology, Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication and MSc in Anthropology, Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MSc in Statistics; two-year UG Programme- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.); five-year Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics; 3 year UG Programme- Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA); M.Phil in – Anthropology, Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Economics, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Odia, Sociology and Statistics; Ph.D. in – Anthropology, Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Economics, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Odia, Sociology and Statistics.
A student can get opportunity to choose for any course offered by any Central University.
The registration for the CUCET will commence from March 2020 on its official website https://www.cucetexam.in. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for CUCET exam can apply for the exam.
The exam is conducted offline for duration of two hours. Central University of Rajasthan is the conducting body of this examination.
Details of eligibility criteria and programme wise intake capacity will be available on the CUO website (http://cuo.ac.in/) as well as CUCET website (https://www.cucetexam.in/) shortly.
To provide students a wider platform, CUO has joined this consortium. CUO will increase its national importance by inviting applications through this platform. The entrance examination is conducted once in a year in various cities across the nation.
