Pradhan writes to Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari for CTTC Extension Centre in Angul

Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday requested the Centre to open an Extension Centre of Central Tool Room and Training (CTTC), Bhubaneswar at Angul.

In a letter to Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari, Pradhan wrote, “The Central Tool Room and Training (CTTC), Bhubaneswar is among 10 TRs/TDIs in India, with extension centres at Jajpur and Rayagada which have played an instrumental role in supporting the development of small-scale industries and up skilling of technical manpower and creation of employment prospects in these regions. I request you for setting up an extension centre of CTTC at Angul district of Odisha.”

Maintaining that Angul is a major industrial hub in Odisha, Pradhan said, “This proposed extension centre at Angul will provide affordable long and short-term training programmes for the manpower in the region and facilitate design, development and manufacturing of quality tools/components and provide project consultancy to many small-scale industries operating around Angul region.”

“Keeping in mid the industrial development of Angul and need for technical up skilling of manpower in the region, I take this opportunity to request your favaourable consideration of the proposal for opening of an extension centre of CTTC, Bhubaneswar at Angul,” urged Pradhan.
