Odisha DAV staff donate Rs 25 lakh to CMRF to fight Coronavirus

Bhubaneswar: Pitching in to help manage the Covid-19 outbreak, the employees of around 32 DAV Public Schools of Odisha Zone have donated three days’ salary amounting to Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

The amount was transferred electronically via RTGS to the CMRF, informed DAV Institutions (Odisha Zone-1) Regional Officer Dr KC Satpathy, in a press release.

Satpathy also appealed to the people to stay indoors and maintain social distancing and comply with the lockdown guidelines to check the spread of the deadly virus.

“We also acknowledged the sincere efforts of the Government and assure that DAV will come forward to extend all possible help to the Government if desired. We also appeal to our alumni across the county to extend all possible help they can,” said Satpathy.
