Amid lockdown, Indian Railways ensures supply of edible oil in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Amid the nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19, the Indian Railways is making efforts to ensure that there is no shortage of edible oil for consumption of the common man in Odisha.

In view of the restrictions, Ministry of Railways is running Parcel Express Trains towards different destinations of the country through East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction.

Today, 919 tonnage consisting 96,213 cartons of edible oil from Haldia Dock Complex in West Bengal have been received at Cuttack Railway Station.

In a concept “You Stay Safe at Home, We bring Essential Commodities to You”, the unsung warriors of ECoR are working round the clock to ensure supply of essential commodities to the people in different parts of the country.

Essential items like Fruits, vegetables, milk powder, sugar, medicine and edible oils are being supplied to different parts by Parcel Express Trains.
