Covid-19 spreads to Keonjhar, Deogarh & Jharsuguda; total rises to 122 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Three more people, tested positive for Coronavirus in Odisha on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases in the State to 122, officials said.

As per the data shared by the Health and Family Welfare Department, three districts – Keonjhar, Jharsuguda and Deogarh – have reported one positive case each. Earlier this morning one 77-year-old man, a close relative of patient number 41 – of Madhusudan Nagar area in Bhubaneswar tested positive.

With this, the number of affected districts rose to 14 in the State.

Of the 122 positive cases, the State has now 83 active cases, while 38 persons have recovered and one person has succumbed to the disease.

Of the 122 Covid-19 positive cases, 47 are from Khurda district (of which Bhubaneswar is a part), 19 each from Bhadrak and Jajpur, 16 from Balasore, 10 from Sundergarh, two each from Kendrapara and Kalahandi and one each from Cuttack, Puri, Dhenkanal, Koraput, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda and Deogarh districts.
