Nuamilan: Odisha Artists Grace Nuakhai With Fusion Of Stories, Songs & Poems

Bhawanipatna: On the occasion of Nuakhai, a fusion of stories, songs and poems, “Nuamilan” was organised by Kalahandi Yuva Lekhak Samabesh, one of the leading literary institutions in Odisha, in collaboration with Devgiri Sanskrutik Anusthan and Digital Media Odia Barta.

Lanjigarh MLA Pradip Dishari graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Principal of Maa Manikeshwari Higher Secondary School, Thuamul Rampur Satyanarayan Mundchhina was the Chief Speaker and eminent novelist Hiranmayee Mishra was the Guest of Honour.

Among others who attended the event were Kendra Sahitya Akademi Youth Award winner novelist Kshetrabasi Naik and poet Ruturaj Majhi. The event was presided over by convenor of Kalahandi Yuva Lekhak Samabesh, Sudhir Kumar Dhangadamajhi.

Young writer and artist Dileswar Rana in collaboration with young writers Sanjeev Kumar Panda, Nalinkant Dash, Ramesh Jena, Arjun Gopal, Diptimayee Singh, Judhisthir Muduli, Malaya Karuan, Daksha Sahu, Jyotsnamayee Nial, Sabyasachi Bisoyi, Kajal Maharana, Mohan Bishi, Sumati Mund, Anand Sagaria, Ashish Kumar Swain, Shyam Sundar Banua, Manoj Meher, Sushant Kumar Barik, Bhargabi Majhi, Jajati Kishore Bagarty, Soumyashree Barik, Fakir Patnaik, Chandan Sahu, Umakant Das, Saubhagya Ranjan Mohapatra and Nilambar Mahananda narrated their stories and poems.

Vocalists Lipsa Maharana, Sabitri Maharana, Chinmayi Baitharu, Sukanya Das and Lipsamayee Dubey decorated the festival of Nuakhai by singing folk songs.
