New Delhi/Koraput: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank laid the foundation stone for academic block, library and staff quarters at Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput through video conferencing on the occasion of 12th Foundation Day of the CUO.
“CUO has established itself as a premier centre for higher learning in the country. Educational reforms brought by PM Narendra Modi will enable regionally rooted industry-academia-govt partnership and ensure holistic development of Koraput region, also an Aspirational District,” said Pradhan.
Pradhan said, “Koraput, at the heart of southern Odisha is rich in tribal diversity. National Education Policy focusing on a broad-based and creative curriculum will enable CUO to provide more opportunities for disadvantaged students and also promote research-based tribal and anthropological studies in Odisha.”
“I encourage CUO to undertake innovative efforts in agri-research and entrepreneurship to find better and bigger markets for Koraput’s fantastic organic farmed products. I also wish them success in becoming torchbearers of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and making India a knowledge economy.
