Odisha CM launches 3,000 ‘Mo Seba Kendras’ to provide public services at doorsteps

Bhubaneswar, March 5: To provide public services to citizens at their doorsteps under 5T framework, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched ‘Mo Seba Kendra’ initiative via video conferencing marking the 105th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.

Now, people can now visit the nearby ‘Mo Seba Kendra’ for payment of electricity and water bills, receiving necessary certificates, payment of taxes, etc. In the first today, Chief Minister Patnaik launched 3,000 ‘Mo Seba Kendras.’

According to a Chief Minister’s Office communiqué, the State Government is planning to set up more than 7,000 ‘Mo Seba Kendras’ across the State with at least one in each gram panchayat (GP) and at least one for 25,000 population in urban areas.

“This initiative will enable citizens to avail public services without visiting Government Offices frequently,” it said.

To ensure swift delivery of online services at these facilities, Odisha Governemnt has developed ‘Odisha One’, a unified digital service delivery platform. More than 100 services of various departments have been integrated into this platform and around 400 services will be added in future, it stated.
