Odisha reports 1,784 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths

Bhubaneswar, April 13: A total of 1,784 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths have been recorded in Odisha in the last 24 hours, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department on Tuesday.

With this, the virus tally in the State mounted to 3,53,086 with 10,503 active cases.

With the two fresh casualties, the death toll has increased to 1,930 in the State. The fatalities were reported from Bhadrak and Bolangir districts.

Of the fresh cases, 1,035 cases were detected from among the quarantined people while 726 were local contact cases. This apart, 46 cases were reported from the State Pool.

These new cases have been detected in all 30 districts of the State.

Highest 303 cases were detected in Nuapada district followed by Sundergarh (241) & Khurda (201).
