300 KISS tribal children to watch Kings XI Punjab match live in Cuttack

Cuttack/Bhubaneswar: With an aim to bring a smile on the
faces of hundreds of children from the tribal belt of Odisha and to request
everyone to come together and work towards the betterment of these kids, Kings
XI Punjab has associated with the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS),
Bhubaneswar to bring a total of 300 children to watch its home matches in
Cuttack to be played on May 7 and May 11.
These children will get a chance to interact with their favourite
cricketers who in turn hope to inspire them to work towards a brighter future.
Commenting on the initiative, Promoters of Kings XI Punjab
said, “We are very happy to be able to provide a platform to these kids from
Odisha to interact with their favorite cricketers and host them at the Cuttack
stadium. We are also honored to have partnered with KISS for this initiative
and the work that they do is truly commendable. We urge everyone to take a step
forward and work towards the development of these kids as there is an urgent
need to do more towards upliftment of this section and enable them to join the
mainstream society.”
KISS provides food, accommodation, health care and all other
basic necessities of life to 20,000 tribal children of the poorest of the poor
background absolutely free to pursue education from Kindergarten to Post
Graduation.
“I would like to thank Kings XI Punjab for providing the kids
with this significant platform. The children are extremely excited to meet the
cricketers and also watch the match live at the stadium,” said KISS founder Achyuta
Samanta.
Kings XI Punjab is a part of the eight competing teams
promoted by Indian Premier League (IPL). It is held and promoted by a
consortium, which includes Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta and Karan Paul.
