CM condemns terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday condemned the terror attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans in Goripora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Patnaik posted his condolence on social media.

“Deeply saddened by the martyrdom of so many #Crpf #jawans in terrorist attack in #Pulwama district of #JammuAndKashmir. Strongly condemn the cowardly act and condolences to the bereaved families,” Patnaik posted in his Facebook account.

Nearly 20 CRPF jawans were martyred after an IED blast by terrorists struck a bus in Goripora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district this afternoon. The casualties are likely to go up.

The Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Two buses of the CRPF convoy were targeted by the terrorists. The bus was blown up by an IED explosion on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Awantipora area of the district.
