Corona statistics are levelling and going down in Odisha, says CM

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed the Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation in the State with senior officials and expressed satisfaction that Covid-19 statistics are levelling and going down in Odisha.

“I am pleased to see Corona statistics are levelling and going down in State,” said the CM.

In one month since first case on March 15, Odisha has reported 56 cases, which is one of the lowest. Among them, 18 have already recovered and discharged from hospitals. One 72-year-old person from Jharpada area of Bhubaneswar has succumbed to the disease.

Patnaik also directed DGP Abhay to keep a strict eye on habitual offenders indulging in domestic violence during the ongoing lockdown.

While Chief Minister Patnaik reviewed the situation from his residence at Naveen Niwas, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, DGP Abhay, Secretaries of various line departments participated in the meeting at the Lokseva Bhawan (State Secretariat) here through video conferencing.
