COVID-19 scare: ECoR cancels 10 trains due to low occupancy

Bhubaneswar: Advising people to avoid non-essential travel due to Coronavirus aka COVID-19 outbreak, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Thursday cancelled ten trains running from various places over ECoR due to low occupancy.

As per the ECoR release, (12882) Puri-Howrah Bi-weekly Garib Rath Express originating from Puri will be cancelled on March 23, 25 and 30 while (12881) Howrah-Puri Bi-weekly Garib Rath Express from Howrah will be cancelled March 24, 26 and 31.

Similarly, (12832) Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad Tri-weekly Garib Rath Express from Bhubaneswar will be cancelled from March 20 31, (12831) Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Garib Rath Express from Dhanbad will be cancelled from March 21 to 30 and on April 1.

While (12281) Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Duronto Express from Bhubaneswar will be cancelled on March 25, (12282) New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Duronto Express from New Delhi will not run on March 26, (12278) Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express from Puri will be cancelled from March 20 to 31.

Similarly, (12277) Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express from Howrah will be cancelled from March 20 to 31, (22708) Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Express from Tirupati from March 20 to 29 and (22707) Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Express from Visakhapatnam from March 21 to 30, respectively.
