Mahanadi bridge named after Madhusudan Das

Bhubaneswar, March 29, 2018: In a tribute to Madhu Babu, the
state Government has named the new bridge on Mahanadi river from Cuttack to
Nuapatna as Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Setu. 
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will
dedicate the 3.13 km bridge to the people on Odisha Divas. 
The bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 157 crore
bridge and will shorten the Cuttack-Dhenkanal route by over 16 km. It has been
constructed entirely from state’s own resources.
Connecting major pilgrim site of Dhabaleswar temple and the
heritage village of Nuapatna, known world over for its handloom and Khandua
sarees, the bridge will boost tourism and socio-economic growth in the area.
