Naveen inaugurates ‘Make In Odisha’ summit

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday inaugurated the second edition of ‘Make In Odisha Conclave’. He welcomed the delegates from across the globe to discover the enormous business and growth opportunities in the State.

“I dedicate this expo to sons and daughters of our State who have played a crucial role in powering Odisha’s rise as an industrial powerhouse,” said Patnaik.

The second edition of ‘Make in Odisha’ – a biennial investors’ conclave is being organized at Janata Maidan here.

Inaugural plenary session will be held at 10.30 am on Monday. Reliance Group CMD Mukesh Ambani is scheduled to speak at Business Leadership Summit on Monday. The summit will provide leadership perspective from industry captains to inspire next generation leaders.

Besides Ambani, corporate heavyweights like Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran and Anil Agarwal, chairman of Vedanta Resources have confirmed their presence.

In addition, a contingent of 800 industry leaders including Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani is expected to attend the summit. State Bank of India chairman Rajnish Kumar and Bandhan Bank chairman and managing director Chandra Shekhar Ghosh will also take part in the investment summit of the Odisha Government.

The conclave will showcase the policy and regulatory environment, investment opportunities across focus sectors and the manufacturing prowess of the State.

At the inaugural edition of Make in Odisha conclave in 2016, the State attracted 124 investment intents valued at Rs 2.03 trillion.
