Orissa High Court suspends functioning till April 15 over Coronavirus

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court (HC) has decided to suspend its functioning and also its offices from March 26 to April 15 because of the lockdown enforced to check the spread of the new Coronavirus aka COVID-19.

“It is hereby given for general information that considering the impending threat of COVID-19 and in the sake of the decision taken by the Government India for complete lockdown of the nation for 21 days, the Court has decided that the functioning of the High Court and its offices will remain suspended w.e.f 26.03.2020 till 15.04.2020,” said a notification issued by the HC Registrar (Judicial).

However, extremely urgent matters can be filed before the Deputy Registrar through drj.od-hc@gov.in between 11 am and 12 pm.

“However, mention memos in respect of extremely urgent matters which cannot wait till 15.04.2020 be filed before the Deputy Registrar (Judicial) through e-main ID: drj.od-hc@gov.in between 11 am and 12 noon,” it said.
