Rajdhani Express conductor returns jacket with Rs 92,000 to passenger

Bhubaneswar: In an exemplary show of honesty, train conductor of Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express returned a jacket containing Rs 92,000 to a passenger.

According to reports, train conductor SK Behera posted at Bhubaneswar handed over the cash to the relatives of the passenger identified as Vinay Jaiswal at Kanpur station in Uttar Pradesh.

Jaiswal while traveling in A-1 coach of the Rajdhani Express had left his jacket behind and detrained at Delhi. The coach attendant had found it and handed it over to the Train Superintendent to verify if the passenger could be contacted.

Until then the content inside the jacket had not been checked.

But the Rajdhani Express conductor SK Behera posd at Bhubaneswar found the Rs 92,000 cash from it but contact details of the passenger.

Fortunately, the passenger had given a customer feedback during the journey and has given his mobile no in it.

So, Chief Ticket Inspector Behera contacted him and the jacket and the contents was handed over to the relatives of the passenger at Kanpur Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh.
