A two member team of National Commission for Women (NCW) Hemalata Kheria and
Mansai Pradhan on Tuesday started its probe into the molestation and murder of
a lady teacher Itishree Pradhan.

The team
visited the victim’s house near Delang in Puri district and talked to her
family members. Besides, it will visit the school in Raygada district where she
worked and set ablaze on Wednesday. It is also likely to meet several officials
and examine a video footage of the teacher.

visited the victim’s village and talked to her family members. We are probing
the matter,” Kheria told reporters.

Notably,
Itishree was allegedly set on fire on October 27 after she refused to withdraw
an FIR against her senior school SI Netrananda Dandasena, whom she accused of
molestation. She sustained 90 per cent burns and died at a Visakhapatnam
hospital on November 1.
