367 booked for malpractice in HSC exam on first day

Bhubaneswar: As many as
367 students were booked for malpractice on the first day of the annual High
School Certificate (HSC) examinations on Tuesday, sources said.
No reports of any
untoward incident in any of the centres where the examinations were held were
reported, sources said. 
School and Mass
Education secretary Usha Padhee too visited some schools in the city to take
stock of the examination and expressed her satisfaction over the new format of
examination. 
“To avoid any
eventuality the answer papers would be sealed and immediately taken to the respective
nodal centres with tight security soon after the examinations are over,” said
Padhee.
More than six lakh
students are appearing the annual High School Certificate examination this
year.
