2,400 general training and midwifery (GNMs) working in grassroots level across
the State under the Health and Family Welfare Department will now get their
salaries timely.

the ANMs, GNMs and LHVs working under the Family Planning Directorate are based
on 100 per cent Central grants, the workers receive their salaries in every
three months.

After Health Secretary
P K Mohapatra took up the issue with Chief Secretary J K Mohapatra, the
Government decided to make full payment of the salaries to the workers from its
own budget and get the reimbursement from the Central funds when released.
