Bhubaneswar, Aug 22: Around
15,000 meritorious Plus Two pass students, including 5,000 belonging to tribal
and Dalit category, would get free laptops under the Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran
Yojana this year, sources said.

The Higher Education
Department has asked the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to give
the merit list picking students from Science, Commerce and Arts streams, who
have passed the annual examination, 2014, by August 28, sources said.

As per reports, out of the
total 15,000 meritorious students, 10,000 students belonging to General
category and 5,000 students belonging to SC and ST category would be benefitted
under the scheme.

Of the total 15,000 meritorious
students while around 3,500 students from Arts stream, 5,000 from Science
stream and 1,500 from Commerce stream belonging to General category would get
free laptops, in tribal and Dalit category, 2,500 students from Arts, 2000 from
Science and 500 from Commerce streams would avail the facility respectively.
