Aerial target manufacturing unit at Gopalpur Industrial Park

Gopalpur, October 28: Mumbai-based Sure Safety Solutions Pvt.
Ltd. (SSS) would set up a manufacturing unit of Aerial Target Products for
defence purposes at Gopalpur Industrial Park of Tata Steel in Ganjam district
in Odisha.
The Aerial Target Manufacturing facility would be set up by Sure
Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Megitt Defence, United
Kingdom. The SSS is expected to invest Rs 50-60 crore in the assembly plant
which would be built over five acres under the ‘Make in India’ scheme.
The project would begin with an assembly line for aerial
targets, followed with servicing Meggitt’s more than $50 million order procured
from Indian Ministry of Defence for aerial targets.
Groundbreaking ceremony for the first assembly line shed was
held on Wednesday inside the Gopalpur Industrial park being developed by TSSEZ
Ltd. in the presence of Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, along with local
MLA and Science and Technology and Higher Education Minister Dr Pradeep
Panigrahy, Berhampur MLA Dr Ramesh Chandra Chyyau Patnaik, Army Air Defence
College Commandant Lt General Saighal, Vice-President, Project Gopalpur &
MD, Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd Arun Misra, Tata Steel (Kalinganagar)
project vice-president Rajiv Kumar and Anant Bhalotia, Managing Director, Sure
Safety Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and other dignitaries.
