Cuttack, Aug 18: With the Puri police trying its
best to nab Bhimsen Palankadhari and six other servitors of Jagannath Temple,
Puri for misbehaving with the Puri Collector-cum-District Magistrate (DM) Arvind
Agrawal, the Orissa High court here on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail

plea of the servitor, who has been booked by the Puri police for allegedly
threatening the district Collector during the Niladri Bije ritual (Ceremonial
procession of deities to the sanctum sanctorum) of the deities on July 17.

The eight absconding servitors, who have been
declared absconders by the district police and whose posters were pasted at
various busy locations are Damodara Mahasuara, Jayakrushna Mahasuara, Saina
Khuntia, Bhimsen Palankdhari, Ipsit Pratihari, Rabi Das, Kasinath Khuntia and
Bhagirathi Khuntia.
