15th Anjali National Children’s festival from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: The 15th Anjali National Children’s
Festival will begin from Monday. The five-day festival will be held at the Adivasi Exhibition Ground here. The theme for this year is
‘Celebrating childhood.” The programme will end on November 18. 
Three teams from SAARC (Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan), 12
teams from outside Odisha, and 38 teams from the state are participating in the
camp. J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Manipur,
Tripura, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry states/UT will
participate in the event, programme chief coordinator Dr Sruti Mohapatra.
Students from different mainstream Government and private schools,
and numerous NGOs/institutions will participate in the various events and
activities. Children from OLS, BBC school for the Deaf, Ramadevi Sishu Vihar
and many other special schools will be a part of the camp, added Mohapatra.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will
inaugurate the event. “It is a cherished festival of literary, creative and
performing arts for young audiences. It has been educating, entertaining and
inspiring young minds from across India,” said Mohapatra.
Swabhiman, a nonprofit organization has been conducting the
programme since last few years.
