Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: SBI Life, a socially inclined life
insurance Company through its CSR outreach has extended its support for
installation of Rooftop Solar Power plant to Kalinga Institute of Social
Sciences, Bhubaneswar. This support is a step towards providing better living
facilities to 25,000 underprivileged tribal children from Keonjhar, Koraput,
Mayurbhanja and Malkangiri.

SBI Life will support the institute towards creating an
eco-friendly environment by utilisation of solar energy, reduction of carbon
dioxide emission and fossil fuel use, and to develop steam-based mechanized
cooking for students. This will be a major a step towards a cleaner and greener
environment in the campus, and it will also serve as a platform to spread
awareness about the benefits of renewable energy amongst the children.
