On Sunday afternoon, a portion of the bridge over Jira river at
Jamodola Dubenpali near Bheden in Bargarh district gave way. While five persons
injured in the incident, two bikes kept beneath the collapsed portion of the bridge
were damaged.
The five injured persons were identified as Aswani Ghadai,
narad Nayak, Rajat Nayak, Pramod Sahu and Rajendra Sahu. They all have been
admitted to the Bargarh district headquarters hospital (DHH).
Meanwhile, local MLA and Minister Snehagini Chhuria and

health conditions of the injured.
“All the injured persons are fine now. We have ordered an inquiry
into the incident and action will be taken accordingly,” said Padhi.
