Bhubaneswar: The High level Clearance Authority (HLCA) headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday cleared six mega manufacturing projects worth Rs 25, 845 crore, ahead of flagship biennial business event ‘Make In Odisha Conclave’ to be held from November 11-15.
The projects include Rs 6,500 crore chemical plant of Vedanta at Dhamra, Rs 6,483 crore alumina refinery project of Vedanta at Lanjigarh, Rs 1,240 crore expansion of Vedanta’s aluminum smelter at Bhurkhamunda, Rs 5, 522 crore project of NALCO at Kamakhyanagar, Rs 5, 000 crore aluminum project of Hindalco Industries at Lapanga and Rs 1,100 crore flexible packaging plant of Chiripal Poly Films.
These large scale manufacturing units have the potential to create 13,700 jobs across Odisha.
Industries Minister Ananta Das, MSME Minister Prafulla Samal, Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera and Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad among other HLCA members attended the meeting.
