Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday paid rich tributes to two brave CRPF jawans from Odisha – Prasanna Sahu and Manoj Kumar Behera – who sacrificed their lives in the Pulwama terrorist attack and enhanced the ex-gratia announced for the family members of the two martyred CRPF jawans from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh each.
After laying wreath on the mortal remains of the two jawans at the Bhubaneswar airport, Patnaik announced that the State Government will bear educational expenses of the children of the jawans while steps will be taken to turn their panchayats into model panchayats in the State.
On Friday, Patnaik announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia each to the family members the CRPF jawans, among 40 others were martyred in the terror attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.
