Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday morning met all the party MLAs and Ministers over breakfast at Naveen Niwas here, during which he gave the mantra of simplicity to his party leaders.
Advising the elected members, especially the first-timers to lead a simple life, the BJD president asked them work for the development of their respective constituencies and oversee that people get maximum benefits from Government schemes, said sources.
Notably, all the BJD MPs had earlier met the Chief Minister at Naveen Niwas, the residence of Patnaik, prior to the Parliament session began.
“The Chief Ministers asked us to always remain with the people and oversee that people get maximum benefits from Government schemes,” said newly elected Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena.
Patnaik, has led the Biju Janata Dal back to power in Odisha for a fifth consecutive term in the recently concluded elections.
BJD has bagged 112 Assembly seats and 12 Lok Sabha seats.
