Bhubaneswar: At least 35 units of blood were collected at a blood donation camp jointly organised by the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police and Ayushman Ayush, an NGO at Kolathia under Khandagiri police station here.
The NGO is named after Ayushman Ayush, a thalassemia patient.
“This is the 48th camp under Jeevan Alok reaching the total collection at 4003 units so far during this calendar year,” said Ayusman’s mother Subhashree Bharati. Bhagirathi Swain, the father of Ayush was also present. Zone ACP Lalitendu Mohanty helped organising the camp on behalf of the IRCS while Bhubaneswar Capital Blood Bank provided technical and logistical support.
