Bhubaneswar: Asit Kumar Tripathy on Monday took charge as the Chief Secretary at the Lok Seva Bhavan here.
Addressing a press conference, Tripathy said that file movement will be made faster and “Rocket speed” will be ensured.
“Importance will be given on faster movement of files. Rocket speed movement of files will be ensured,” said Tripathy.
Maintaining that 5T will get top most priority, the new Chief Secretary said in all departments Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5Ts (Team, Transparency, Technology, Time and Transformation) will be implemented to ensure good governance.
A native of Bolangir district, Tripathy became the 12th Chief Secretary to be working with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik since he took over as the CM of the State in March 2000 and the 43rd Chief Secretary of the State.
He took over the charge from outgoing Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, who was appointed as the State Election Commissioner. He was greeted by senior IAS and IPS officers and State Government officials.
Prior to this, the 1986-batch bureaucrat was serving as the Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department with additional charge as Chief Administrator, Koraput-Bolangir-Kalahandi (KBK) region.
