Bhubaneswar: Alliance Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, will start daily direct flight operations between Bhubaneswar and Varanasi and back from January 31.
The airline has deployed its 70-seater ATR 72 600 aircraft for this route.
As per the schedule, the flight 9I 747 will depart from Biju Patnaik International Airport at 12.15 pm and arrives at Varanasi at 2.05 pm. In the return direction, flight 9I 748 will leave Varanasi at 2.30 pm and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 4.20 pm.
The airlines said that the option of daily direct flights between the two destinations will reduce the travel time making it convenient for passengers. All inclusive one way fares Bhubaneswar-Varanasi and vice versa starts at Rs 3470.

The airlines on Monday also launched its flight direct service from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport, Jharsuguda, to Kolkata under UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme.
