Bhubaneswar: In a bid to boost the morale of the health personnel engaged in the fight against COVID-19 in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced immediate implementation of Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) for Medical Officers of Odisha Medical and Health Services (OHMC) Cadre.
“In the present situation of COVID-19 pandemic, the Medical Officers of OHMS cadre, who are at the forefront of our health sector, play vital role in management of COVID-19. Though promotion of Medical Officers under DACP scheme was announced a year ago, Medical Officers could not get promotion under this scheme due to want of required PARs. In order to fast track the DACP, the Government has allowed one time relaxation for promotion under DACP scheme,” said Patnaik in a release issued by his office.
The entire exercise will be completed by April 30, 2020.
On Wednesday, Patnaik announced four months’ advance salary for doctors, nurses and other paramedical staff.
The doctors, nurses and all health personnel across the state will receive their salaries for the months of April, May, June and July in the month of April.
