Four more test positive for Covid-19 in Bhubaneswar, total cases rises to 60 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Four people, hailing from Bhubaneswar, tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the number of cases in Odisha to 60, of which 18 persons have been cured and discharged from hospital.

Of the four, three patients belong to Bomihkal while another person hails from Jharpara area. These two areas have become hotspots for the infection. So far, Bhubaneswar has recorded 46 positive cases.

Health Services Director Dr Bijay Kumar Mohapatra in a press conference here said that a 50-year-old man from Jharpaea area tested positive for the infection while two men (51 years and 70 years) and a 51-year-old woman from Bomikhal area tested positive for the virus.

Earlier in the day today, 61-year-old male from Jajpur tested positive for Covid-19.

Now, there are 41 active positive cases in the State. A 72-year-old man has succumbed to the disease.
