COVID-19: Odisha Govt approves incentive for doctors, paramedics

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Monday approved incentives for doctors, paramedics and Class-IV employees engaged in #COVID health facilities such as dedicated COVID Hospitals/COVID Health Centres/COVID Care Centres in the State for treatment and care of COVID19 positive patients.

As per the Health and Family Welfare Department notification, doctors will get an incentive of Rs 1,000 per day while paramedics (staff nurse/pharmacists/radiographers/laboratory technician) will receive an incentive of Rs 500 per day. Class-IV employees will be given Rs 200 per day.

“These categories of employees are entitled to avail the incentives for those days in which they are in active line of duty in contact with COVID positive patients in COVID health facilities,” said the notification.

The expenditure for the same will be met out of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
