COVID-19: Odisha’s recovery tally rises to 3,21,309

Bhubaneswar, December 19: As many as 362 more Covid patients have recovered in the last 24 hours in the State, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in Odisha to 3,21,309, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department on Saturday.

According to the department, the highest number of 50 Covid patients recovered in Khurda district, followed by 40 in Sundargarh, 22 in Puri, 21 in Cuttack, 20 in Jharsuguda, 19 in Balasore, 18 in Bargarh, 17 each in Angul, Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj, 16 in Sambalpur, 14 in Jajpur, 13 in Rayagda, 11 in Bolangir, nine in Keonjhar, seven in Jagatsinghpur, six each in Ganjam, Kendrapara and Malkangiri, four each in Bhadrak and Boudh, three each in Nayagarh and Nuapada, two each in Deogarh, Dehnkanal, Koraput and Nawarangpur and one each in Gajapati district.

Besides, 11 recoveries were reported from the State pool.

Notably, the State recorded three more fatalities during the last 24 hours taking the total toll due to the virus to 1,832 on Saturday.

Similarly, with 356 new positive cases being reported during the last 24 hours, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,25,861.
