Bhubaneswar, April 12: As many as 1,741 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths have been recorded in Odisha in the last 24 hours, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department on Monday.
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the State mounted to 3,51,302 with 9,259 active cases.
With the two fresh casualties, the death toll has increased to 1,928 in the State. The fatalities were reported from Nuapada district.
Of the fresh cases, 1,015 cases were in quarantine and 726 local contact cases.
These new cases have been detected in all 30 districts of the State.
While Sundargarh reported the highest number of 268 new cases, Khurda reported 204 cases followed by Balasore (158), Sambalpur (121) and Kalahandi (114), Bargarh (97), Nuapada (96), Balangir (93), Nabarangpur (80), Cuttack (58), Puri (54), Keonjhar (53), Jharsuguda and Angul 43 each), Mayurbhanj (39), Jajpur (38), Rayagada (35), Gajapati (14), Sonepur (13), Bhadrak (11), Deogarh, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur and Koraput (9 each), Kandhamal (8), Nayagarh (7), Boudh (5) Malkangiri (3), Dhenkanal and Kendrapara (2 each).
This apart, 46 cases were reported from the State pool.
