Bhubaneswar, April 20: Odisha has reported 4,761 new COVID-19 cases, 1,503 recoveries and five more casualties in the last 24 hours, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department on Tuesday.
Of the total cases, 2,785 cases were detected from among the quarantined people while 1,976 cases were local contacts.
These new cases have been detected in 30 districts of the State. This apart, 160 cases were reported from the State Pool.
Khurda is the worst hit district with 820 cases followed by Sundergarh with 673 cases and Nuapada 534 positive cases.
With this, the total cases rose to 3,77,464 with 27,821 active cases.
The State also recorded five more fresh casualties. Of it, three deaths reported in Nuapada, one each in Keonjhar and Rayagada districts. With this, the virus death toll mounted to 1,953.
