Four Express Special trains to remain cancelled till May end due to poor patronisation


Bhubaneswar, May 13: In view of poor patronisation in above trains and keeping in view the surge of COVID-19 positive cases and to break the chain of infection, four express special trains will remain suspended the end of May from both the directions.

According to an the East Coast Railway (ECoR) statement, Puri-LTT-Puri Weekly Special Express (02866/02865) originating from Puri on May 18 and 25 and from LTT on May 20 and 27 will remain cancelled.

Similarly, the Bhubaneswar-LTT- Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Special Express (02880/02879) originating from Bhubaneswar on May 17, 20, 24 and 27 and from LTT on May 19, 22, 26 and 29 will remain cancelled.

The Visakhapatnam-Cuddapah-Visakhapatnam daily Express Special (07488/07487) from Visakhapatnam between May 14 and 31 and from Cuddapah between May 15 to June 1 will remain cancelled too.

Similarly, the Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli-Visakhapatnam daily Express Special (02831/02832) originating from Visakhapatnam from May 14 to 31 and from Lingampalli from May 15 to June 1 will also remain cancelled, it added.
